Hawking Sector

After the advent of the jump drive, the most common interstellar map in human space became the Akwende Projection, named for the inventor of the jump drive. It organizes systems by jump points first and foremost, with only a loose correlation to physical space. Still, it is this correlation that groups systems into sectors and quadrants. Thus, the populations of the worlds here still think of themselves as being in the "Hawking sector", even though that designation is all but irrelevant with the loss of access to worlds beyond the sector, or even to other worlds within the Hawking sector.
