Session 8 14

Space is big. Really, really, big. If Spyboy did not have exact coordinates to this jump point he would never have found it.
Only within a kilometer did his own fighter's sensors start detecting an anomaly.
[OOC] Spyboy: Happily, Metis gave me exact coordinates.
The default thing to do with a jump point is to open it, but what does Spyboy do?
Spyboy: "That's a confirmation on the jump point location, Admiral. I'm pulling all the data I can, but we won't know where it leads until I fire it up. Your call."
Abraham: "Do it."
Meanwhile, Kali's awkward hug of Zinda, on her carrier in front of Metis, has indeed been awkward. But it has now happened.
Zinda blinks.
Zinda: "What's…what's this?"
Zinda: "You're…hugging me."
Spyboy: "Copy that."
Spyboy fires up the jump point.
The jump point flares…and Spyboy's comms light up with Confederation traffic. Brown system.
[OOC] Spyboy: All passive scanners are on; all active ready to go.
Kali: "I am."
Spyboy: "….Bad news, Admiral. We're not a cul-de-sac anymore."
Abraham: "That will make a lot of people very happy to hear. You get to tell Zinda."
Spyboy: "Understood, sir. I do have a way to patch through."
Spyboy: "[Metis, could you ask Zinda to turn her transceiver on? I have some information she needs.]"
Metis: "Zinda, Michael needs to transmit data to your neutrino receiver."
Zinda: "…Huh? Yeah, sure I guess."
Zinda: "Kali?"
Zinda shrugs and turns it on, assuming her assent.
Kali lets go and shrugs. "That one I can't block. Yet."
Spyboy: "[Bad news, Zinda. Oldziey is once again three jumps from Confederation territory. This jump point goes to Brown, in the Saab quadrant of the Hawking Sector.]"
Zinda: "[…So…Does Confed know yet?]"
Spyboy: "[Well, I told Admiral Bounty first, so…yes?]"
Zinda: "[…Does Confed central know?]"
Kali: "…all this time. One survey ship."
Zinda sighs.
Zinda: "I haven't exactly had a ton of time OK?"
Spyboy: "[You mean Sol High Command? Seems unlikely, since everyone assumed TCSC1860 and TCSC1575 were different systems.]"
Spyboy: "[Beyond that it comes down to lightspeed. Paladin, I assume, already knows, but he's not a huge fan of getting humans killed for the sake of killing more humans.]"
Metis: "[A wise and progressive policy.]"
[OOC] WC GM: This is broadcast from Zinda's neutrino radio where Kali could overhear, right?
[OOC] Metis: I reckon so.
Zinda: "[So…we setup some fortifications and a tarpit of drones and smoothtalk our way out.]"
Kali smiles. "No he doesn't."
[OOC] Zinda: Yes.
Kali: "Paladin jumped back. Just us here. Have to tell him, but right now…"
Zinda: "[We setup first before they do and try to negotiate a DMZ.]"
Kali GRINS. "That's my girl!"
Zinda shrugs.
Zinda: "Well, what else am I going to? Annex it?"
Spyboy rolls his eyes, which Metis can know but fortunately Zinda can't.
Kali: "If you want. Or I could."
Zinda: "I wanted to but I can't exactly hold territory right on their border."
[OOC] Spyboy: Is there anything in this system worth holding?
Kali: "Maybe you can't…"
Zinda: "Tell you what. Let's try this."
Zinda: "[Spyboy, can you just keep this mum?]"
[OOC] WC GM: Just a bunch of asteroids. Kali has hinted some of them have defense factories, similar to the one you destroyed.
[OOC] WC GM: And the jump points themselves.
[OOC] Spyboy: Roll Charm to lie?
[OOC] Spyboy: …Eh, I'd have to keep it secret from Metis. N/M, not worth it.
[OOC] Abraham: Wait what? Spyboy can't keep secrets!
Zinda: "If THEY don't know they're the same system I can lay claim to TSCC1575, they won't know it's right on their doorstep, and we set up shop before they figure it out."
Zinda: "Then when they roll in, we act like we didn't know either."
Spyboy: "Keep in mind, Zinda, Kali already did. And she's a member of the Confederation."
Zinda: "And it was just a funny coincidence that turned out in favor."
Spyboy: "[So unless she's up for full-on mutiny, the Confederation already laid a claim.]"
Spyboy: "[The smart move would be to make sure that it's part of the deal.]"
Kali: "Not mutiny. Defection."
Zinda: "[Kali's good at keeping secrets.]"
Kali: "I go with my kid here."
Zinda: "[Besides. She's my new chief of intelligence.]"
Zinda: "Kali can you patch me through to Abe?"
Spyboy: "[As I see it, you have two choices.]"
Zinda: "[Michael, just…stop. Look. I get it. You're loyal to your government.]"
Kali giggles and taps the bulkhead. Abraham - and soon Spyboy, and perhaps Metis from him - notice Kali's carrier suddenly stop being transparent to radio.
Zinda: "[But you keep mum on this one and it's better for everyone. Yes, even central.]"
ExecutiveOfficer: "Well at least NOW she's broadcasting an IFF."
Spyboy: "[One is to let a Confederation Admiral defect from the Confederation to become your new chief of intelligence, go to war with the rest of known human space, and hope to come out on top with them no longer distracted by a war with the Kilrathi. You have plenty of weapons of mass destruction, but really?]"
Abraham: "That's a neat trick."
Spyboy: "[The other is to TALK.]"
Spyboy: "[I know you want to settle a peace treaty with the Confederation with your torch, but come on. There's a difference between pride and stupidity.]"
Zinda: "[Uh…who's going to war? I am talking.]"
[OOC] Abraham: Well, yes, but every other phrase out of your mouth tends to be "I declare war."
Zinda: "[We play dumb. You don't tell them. They let me have some po-dunk unscanned system on the ass end of their space and it just so happens to be a crucial defensive position for my sovereignty."
Spyboy: "[Not if a member of the Confederation - still serving - is claiming territory, then defecting with that territory. When she can just resign her commission.]"
ExecutiveOfficer: "Getting a radio transmission…" He frowns. "Someone's planted a spy bug in her hangar, and I'd bet it's her. Patching through."
Zinda: "Spybody, stop. Just, listen for a damn moment. Just. Play. Dumb."
[OOC] WC GM: Abraham now hears the conversation, from inside the hangar. If he replies, his voice will be heard there - and through the neu-comm radio.
Spyboy: "[Zinda.]"
Zinda: "You play dumb, there won't be a freakin' war."
Spyboy: "[If they're not willing to have you holding territory on their borders, then it's too damn late.]"
Spyboy: "[Oldziey is on Confederation borders.]"
Zinda: "They don't know it's their border yet, is the point."
Spyboy: "[And if you intend to annex the rest of the Hawking cluster, then screw you.]"
Zinda: "So we pretend we don't know, get a rightful legal claim to it in the negotiations, and we're home free."
Spyboy: "[Besides. The Landreich and the Border Worlds are already on the borders with the Confederation. Why are you freaking out about this, anyway?]"
Zinda: "Seriously, you know how this is gonna go? Oh, yes Mr. President, we'd like TCSC1575. Huh? We scanned it, just asteroids. See?"
Abraham: "I think between Zinda and the Confed diplomacy corps, we can get some borders drawn up that will please everybody. Or at least make everyone unhappy equally."
Zinda: "And they're like, 'Oh, sure, we can't access that territory anyways.'"
Zinda: "And then in ten or twenty years they send a probe past brown and happen to notice and we laugh the whole thing off."
Zinda: "Seriously. That's the damn plan. No war involved."
Zinda: "My god…"
Zinda: "And the only way this goes south, right, is if someone spills the beans. See?"
[OOC] Spyboy: The funny thing is this. Spyboy has already told Zinda that he's informed the Confederation.
ExecutiveOfficer: "Should we be recording this conversation for posterity?"
Zinda sighs audibly over the radio.
[OOC] WC GM: Ah, but who has he informed?
Spyboy: "[Oh, I see what you're saying. All I have to do to successfully screw over my bosses is to screw over my bosses.]"
[OOC] Spyboy: Not my problem.
[OOC] WC GM: Only the Roland, Kali's carrier, and their associated fighters are in-system.
Metis: "[Yes. But, when restated that way, it sounds bad.]"
Zinda: "You're not even central confed, you're hawking navy…"
[OOC] Spyboy: He's informed Bounty. Bounty is a Confederation Admiral. Ipso facto, he's informed the Confederation.
Abraham: "Isn't it already being recorded? As per Confed regulations?"
[OOC] Zinda: Zinda doesn't really consider Abe to be 'confed'.
[OOC] Zinda: Since she can like, work with him.
ExecutiveOfficer: "I…think regulations went out the window a while ago, sir. Also they don't explicitly cover - or anticipate - neutrino comms."
[OOC] Abraham: Abe is, admittedly, out of practice.
Zinda sighs.
Abraham: "In that case, yes. Record. I have a feeling exact words will become important later."
[OOC] Spyboy: But the Roland doesn't have neutrino comms. It's picking up regular radio.
ExecutiveOfficer: "Then I don't have to erase the logs Kali - presumably - sent."
[OOC] Abraham: If I'm hearing it, it's soundwaves. Which can be recorded.
[OOC] WC GM: This is true.
[OOC] WC GM: But the XO is, once again, a mite flustered.
[OOC] Abraham: Yes, Poison Ivy tends to have that effect on people.
Spyboy: "[Until an agreement is set up, there's no such thing as Hawking Navy.]"
Zinda: "[Don't be such a bureaucrat. You and I both know where things are going.]"
Spyboy: "[Guess what. The pirates didn't win in my home system. Terra saved my wife's people.]"
Spyboy: "[I'm not gonna just turn my back on them because the pirates did win in yours.]"
Zinda: "[What the hell are you even talking about?]"
Zinda: "[Pirates? You were there for the vote.]"
Zinda: "[The writing's on the wall, Paladin's probably going to back us…]"
Spyboy: "[Yeah. I was there before the vote, too, every damn time that you mentioned Terra with hate in your voice.]"
Zinda: "[You can defect back to Terra if you want but that's on you.]"
Spyboy: "[To you they are they enemy. They always have been.]"
Zinda: "Kali, is he being stupid?"
Zinda: "[…Are you OK?]"
Spyboy: "[My boss is Admiral Bounty. And I do what he says. And he has not said that they are the enemy.]"
Metis: "Technically, he is being Michael."
Abraham: "And I'm going to surprise you by not saying they are the enemy."
Zinda rubs her temples in frustration.
Kali nods at Metis's comment. "He's being himself."
Spyboy: "[I do expect that, when an agreement is signed, Admiral Bounty will be separated from the Confederation Navy and become the head of whatever takes its place in our little cluster.]"
[OOC] Abraham: Of course he's going to do what I say. His Christmas bonus is on the line.
Zinda: "Hate in my voice? What?"
Zinda: "Look, I care about the survival of Oldziey. That means frustrating the efforts of a much larger political entity."
Zinda: "OK? I wouldn't call them 'the enemy' but they're definitely not our friends."
Spyboy: "['They' outnumber 'us' a thousand to one. If they're not our friends, we're fucked, unless you decide to follow through on that threat you made to Paladin involving rampant use of Temblors.]"
Abraham: "Which, incidentally, would also make me your enemy. Probably it would make /everyone/ your enemy."
Spyboy sighs over neutrino comms.
Zinda: "Are you being deliberately bullheaded?"
Spyboy: "[I would ask you much the same thing.]"
Zinda: "Be realistic here. You can be 'not friends' with confed and still manage to not go to war with them."
Kail quirks an eyebrow and looks at Metis. "They like this all the time?"
Zinda: "No. We're not."
Spyboy: "[Not out loud. No point in it.]"
Metis: "No, this is mild. They are usually worse."
Abraham: "Absolutely."
Abraham: "Kali, are you up for a little psychological experiment?"
Kali: "Depends."
[OOC] Zinda: Zinda is being realistic here tho
[OOC] Zinda: She has to maintain some buffer space or she has a terrible negotiating position going forward
[OOC] Spyboy: Michael's a bit tired of not arguing with Zinda.
[OOC] Zinda: Aaah.
Abraham: "I would like you to turn off your broadcast and take Metis with you, and leave Zinda and Spyboy together. I'm curious how long they can sustain the argument without an audience."
[OOC] Spyboy: He may have kinda vented there.
[OOC] Zinda: OK. Zinda was like "What is this kid smoking?"
Spyboy: "[In any case, my answer to your request is no.]"
Spyboy: "[I will not refuse to inform my superiors, and have, in fact, already so informed them.]"
Kali: "…amusing. But no."
Zinda: "Abe can you get him to delay the report…? It'd make our lives much easier."
Kali: "Kiddo, you misheard."
Zinda: "[Spyboy stop being a dipshit you know what I mean. Don't let it get back to Terra.]"
Spyboy: "[Besides. It's not like you're trying to lay claim to an empty system.]"
Kali: "Spyboy informed his boss. Abraham. Will he inform any other bosses?"
Abraham: "Spyboy, how much have you told the Confederacy that is not myself?"
Spyboy: "[It's already been improved. Not much, but.]"
Zinda: "[Uh…I am?]"
Zinda: "[Unless you count the work Kali did.]"
Zinda: "[Which was Oldziey work.]"
Spyboy: "[…Granted, someone may have forgotten the password to the defenses, but when it comes down to it, and under the circumstances, I do count the work Kali did, though not as Oldziey work.]"
Abraham: "Zinda, how much of a delay are you thinking of?"
Spyboy: "[Keep in mind, Queen Tegram, that she did attempt to invade Oldziey. AFTER what she did here.]"
Zinda: "Say, until after the negotiations?"
Spyboy: "[Caused a lot of damage, too. That we - including you - had to fix.]"
Zinda: "[Heh, OK.]"
Abraham: "Zinda, I can probably justify to myself asking Spyboy to delay…twenty four hours. Is that acceptable?"
Kali: "Doubt they'd allow Summer Home for a name. Too bad."
[OOC] Abraham: Man. The only animal that can rationalize.
[OOC] Metis: Clearly you have never studied cats.
[OOC] WC GM: ^
[OOC] Abraham: Oh I have. They don't bother rationalizing, they just do whatever because.
Zinda: "Sure, why not?"
[OOC] Spyboy: Now, I can definitely see treaty negotiations as a Social combat with a LOT of things in play. Summer Home, Kali, Oldziey, Hawking Republic…
Abraham: "All right then. Spyboy, you're on a twenty four hour coffee break."
[OOC] Metis: …you're being paid to goof-off for 24 hours. Rock on.
[OOC] Spyboy: "Understood. I'll stop in at a little boutique I know of in Brown."
[OOC] Abraham: It's the dream job.
[OOC] WC GM: Could be, and I could definitely run it as social combat if you want. But my impression is the group preference is for pure RP.
[OOC] Spyboy: Eh, it was just a thought. Most of our 'social combats' haven't really been what I've been looking for, anyway.
Spyboy: "Aye-aye, sir."
Spyboy: "Returning to base."
Kali: "Just one hole."
Kali: "Did Brown notice it open?"
Spyboy: "Couldn't tell you. Off-duty."
Spyboy says that with a cheerful lilt to his voice and sets up a new layer of firewalls.
[OOC] Metis: You have created a monster, Abe.
[OOC] Spyboy: What's the name of Kali's ship, again? It's the one I keep forgetting.
[OOC] Abraham: Back. Good slacking off, my monster.
[OOC] Abraham: Kali's ship is the NSS NSA
[OOC] WC GM: Actually - you're not sure what the name of Kali's ship is. You may have just noticed IC that you keep forgetting.
[OOC] WC GM: Even the IFF doesn't broadcast a name.
[OOC] Abraham: So my name stands.
Spyboy: "[…Oh, right, I'm off-duty. I can indulge my curiosity!]"
Spyboy: "[Excuse me, Admiral Kali, but may I ask…what is the name of your carrier?]"
Spyboy: "[…Or your original carrier, if it had a different name…]"
Spyboy: "[…Before it robotted into Oldziey and got shredded.]"
Kali sighs. "Feels like a lifetime ago."
[OOC] Spyboy: "To be fair, you died, so it was."
Kali: "TCS Ranger. Original class leader, then they renamed the class."
Kali: "Let me have it to bury. Politics."
Kali: "This one? Haven't decided."
Kali: "ONS Ranger, maybe."
Spyboy: "[Huh. A ship that's practically off-the-books does suit you, though.]"
Kali: "Honest? Dunno if it fit me, or I grew to fit it."
Kali: "Wasn't wearing bugs when I got my commission."
[OOC] Abraham: Lies!
Kali: "Then Oldziey and kiddo…happened."
[OOC] Metis: brb
[OOC] WC GM: Bureaucracy check, if you want.
[OOC] Abraham: Just to make sure, things aren't being broadcasted anymore, yes?
[OOC] WC GM: They're being broadcast in the system, but the only listeners are the Roland, the party, and Kali.
[OOC] WC GM: Both jump points are closed at the moment.
[OOC] Abraham: k
Spyboy rolled up 4dF: - - + - (Base: 4 Total: 2) (Bureaucracy + Info: First Principle)
[OOC] Spyboy: Bleah
[OOC] Spyboy: Is Kali still broadcasting to the Roland?
[OOC] WC GM: Yeah.
[OOC] WC GM: Of course there can be private channels.
[OOC] WC GM: Lasercoms exist too.
[OOC] Spyboy: Pri…vate…? I don't understand.
[OOC] WC GM: :P
Zinda rolled up 4dF: - 0 + - (Base: 16 Total: 15) (I just wanted to roll a large number)
[OOC] Spyboy: In any case, I'm going to do a remote override, switch the Roland to the second set of one-time pads, and send an encrypted message, not that it matters with Kali involved.
Spyboy: "Something about that's bothering me, sir. Any idea?"
[OOC] WC GM: …and of course I immediately try to see how Zinda got 7 aspects to tag.
[OOC] Zinda: Ehehehe.
[OOC] Spyboy: Traditionally? Two rounds of combat with everyone laying down aspects.
[OOC] WC GM: Metis might Bureaucracy check too. Any records-checking aspects are applicable.
[OOC] Metis: I might. Should I?
[OOC] WC GM: Checking on Kali's claim, if you want.
[OOC] Zinda: 4 base +tool +self +scene +target +zone +spin =15
[OOC] Abraham: Metis checking up on her granny?
Metis rolled up 4dF: 0 0 - - (Base: 2 Total: 0) ((I think I'm going to need a +4 on the dice for this; Chessa, who's side are you on?))
[OOC] Metis: Clearly, Kali's.
[OOC] WC GM: Though Abraham would be better positioned for this check - then again, he has the higher Bureaucracy.
[OOC] WC GM: And yeah, difficulty 4. Metis has no clue anything's even up.
[OOC] Metis: This clearly did not involve the complex and secretive bureaucracy around ice cream.
Abraham rolled up 4dF: - - + 0 (Base: 5 Total: 4) (Paperpushing. What the military is really all about)
[OOC] Abraham: Seems legit to me.
[OOC] WC GM: But ice cream does not come in confidential flavor…or does it?
Abraham frowns. Wasn't Kali's carrier a Yorktown?
Abraham: "Kali? Wasn't your carrier a Yorktown?"
[OOC] Abraham: I'm afraid you're not cleared for that information, Metis.
Kali: "After the reclass. Never updated the plates."
Kali: "Still said 'Ranger' all the way to the end."
Kali: "Heh. Not quite a century."
Kali: "Still remember my commission ceremony. Things were different in 2590."
A quick check of the calendar confirms it is now 2688.
[OOC] Abraham: Well, she is a grandmother now…
Kali: "Retirement came up, I…deleted that record. Found other things easy to delete. TCN 'forgot' to retire my ship."
Abraham: "So you have been serving the Confed Navy for…ninety eight years?"
Kali: "Captaining. Serving for longer."
Spyboy: "So you're not from Oldziey at all, then."
Kali: "Am now."
Kali: "At first? Earth."
Kali: "Haven't had reason to think about it in…a while."
Kali: "But that body's gone. Kiddo gave me a new birthdate."
Abraham: "I see."
Kali: "Looking forward to not having to find new ways to keep living."
[OOC] Abraham: "Have you considered hosting a fighting tournament and consuming the souls of the losers?"
Kali: "Before you ask, family'd reduced to just biological relations before the war."
Kali: "Never checked if any survived Earth bombardment. Wouldn't be surprised if they were all in the new craters."
[OOC] Abraham: That sounds like the name of a Fallout town. New Craters.
Kali: "But it got me thinking. And I think I like where it's taken me."
Kali: "Ah, getting mushy. You have to decide what to do about that fleet back in David."
[OOC] Metis: Give it to Spyboy and Zinda, watch them fight over it.
[OOC] Spyboy: Is it not Paladin's fleet?
[OOC] Abraham: That's what I thought.
[OOC] WC GM: It is. Which would make it a three-way struggle.
[OOC] Metis: Until we hand Paladin the popcorn and the merchandising rights.
Abraham: "Why would I have to decide anything about that? It's Paladin's fleet."
Kali: "What to tell them. How soon to go back: they're expecting you soon."
Abraham: "Yes I suppose they are. And I think we've already told them most of what they needed to know."
Kali: "Not going to mention the other jump point?"
Abraham: "The one that we just opened?"
Kali: "That one."
Abraham: "In about twenty three hours and 27 minutes, yes."
Abraham: "Or rather, Spyboy will."
Abraham: "Once he's off break."
Kali: "Going to wait here until then?"
Abraham: "Tempting but no. We will be heading back within the hour. I just want to give the new jump point an hour to ensure that it really is as stable as it looks."
[OOC] Abraham: Fast forward 27 minutes or so?
Kali: "Astrographic data matches up, as far as it's been surveyed. TCSC1575 and 1860 may be the same. Brown jump point's been stable for years."
[OOC] WC GM: Sure.
[OOC] WC GM: It takes some time for Spyboy to complete the return flight anyway.
[OOC] WC GM: So…how much time passes before you do something?
[OOC] Abraham: We'll head back relatively soon and meet up with Paladin's fleet, make sure they didn't get eaten by spacesharks, and then we'll see about getting a Confed negotiator to hash out the borders between Oldziey and the confederacy.
Paladin: "A negotiator you say? Wouldn't the borders just be th' jump points, like with every other set o' systems?"
[OOC] Metis: Really, its more about getting Confed to cede their sovereignty to Oldziey.
The Terran fleet is up and running again - rebooting computers does not take that long - but none have bothered jumping into the still-technically-nameless system.
Paladin: "Anyway, there'll 'ave t' be a motion recognized back on Earth fer that."
Paladin: "You'll want t' be there t' argue yer case."
Spyboy: "Eh, given the Confed officers on all sides, the uninhabited systems, the vote that got rammed through before the Black Lance invasion, the connections between White and Nephilim territory, I think everyone would be more comfortable with some firm agreements."
Abraham: "I will will want to be there yes."
Paladin: "An' there'll be firm agreements. Th' motion's whether the Confederation'll abide by 'em."
Abraham: "We were in an emergency situation when we did that vote, which historically rarely leads to wise results."
Paladin: "Basically, recognize this chain o' systems, from Chandley on back, as an independent power what can do whatcha will."
Abraham: "I think that's what she's looking for, yes."
Paladin: "Which makes th' borders, th' Chandley/Destiny an' Chandley/Yeager jump points."
Abraham: "That stands to reason."
Paladin: "There'll be some fine details - I think they'll want t' ship stuff through Chandley, 'cause Destiny might not've been cut off but otherwise y' had t' get through Roddenberry quadrant to get t' the whole Argent sector."
Spyboy: "I'm sure something can be arranged. Chandley deserves a memorial at the very least."
Paladin: "Memorial? Th' colony, sure, but the system'll be a major throughway if ye've got Nephilim homeworld not two jumps away, countin' th' wormhole as one."
Paladin: "Anyway. Sounds like we got things in order 'ere. We'll make preparations t' 'ead back 'ome. You'll wanna come wit' us: better if ye arrive in our company than unescorted."
Paladin: "That'll take a few days, so if ya've anythin' ya wanna take care o' around 'ere first, now's a good time."
[OOC] WC GM: What explicit Very Definitely Final Dungeon?
Abraham: "Sounds good to me. I will see if Zinda is ready and then we can go. Probably."
[OOC] Abraham: Oh shit! Spyboy is slurping his coffee real slowly…slurp…slurp. I have to go find Zinda myself.
Abraham heads of to find Zinds. Hm…if I were the xenophobic queen of rogue nation, where would I be hiding?
[OOC] Metis: With her grandmother and daughter, plotting the subjugation of the universe.
[OOC] Spyboy: Haha, I was definitely thinking of North Korea any number of times during Spyboy's rant
[OOC] Abraham: I will, gladly and with relish and possibly mustard, talk smack about any national leader at anytime, but to the best of my knowledge, Kim is not a queen.
Kali and her carrier are still on the far side of the system, though she has left with the Roland a formal request to name the system Summer Home, signed by the first person to colonize said system.
Abraham shrugs and approves Kali's request.
The ultimate authority for this is back on Earth, but it now has backing of another Confederation admiral.
Spyboy: "Sir? If you don't mind, Heggy and I would like to visit Mu Cephei before we go. I want to check on things."
Abraham: "Certainly. I'd imagine there's something Zinda wants to do first as well."
